Field Days
It is an intensive educational activity in which KVK scientists, extension workers and farmers participate to
learn from each other. This year 18 field days were organized involving 1189 farmers.
Adaptive Research

I. Cluster Front Line Demonstration (CFLD) and Front Line Demonstration (FLD)
The field demonstration conducted under the close supervision of scientists is called Front Line
Demonstration, as the technologies are demonstrated for the first time by the scientists themselves
before being fed into the main extension system of the State Department of Agriculture. The main
objective of CFLD/FLD is to demonstrate newly released crop production and different technologies and
its management practices in the farmers’ field under different agroclimatic region and farming situation.
During 2019-20, CFLD and FLD programmes were conducted on 12 different crops/technologies/
implements like paddy, wheat, nizer, green gram, mustard, tomato etc. involving 630 farmers. Feed back
from the farmers involved have been properly collected and provided to respective research institutions.
