Workshops, Seminars and other Awareness Programmes

           World Soil Day

                    ORLD SOIL DAY-2019 was observed on
                    05th  December  2019 with  an  aim  to
           Wcreate awareness among the  people and
           particularly among the farmers to save and conserve
           one of the precious natural resources i.e. soil which
           forms the basis for sustenance of life on the earth.
           The theme for the year 2019 was  “Stop Soil Erosion,
           Save our Future”.

           An awareness programme was carried out to motivate
           the participant for taking measures to reduce soil
           erosion and to maintain fertility so that food safety
           can be ensured. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Singh, Senior Scientist, Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, SMS, Agronomy and Mrs.
           Neha Rajan, SMS, Genetics and Plant Breeding addressed the gathering of farmers. Farmers were mainly
           taught about the methods of soil health improvement by using the locally available natural resources and
           different farming techniques to prevent soil erosion. The awareness programme was attended by fifty
           farmers (including farm women and trainees) along with the scientists of Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra .
           Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas

                                                            Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas was celebrated on 15
                                                            October 2019 with an objective to create awareness
                                                            and    encourage  the  women  farmers  to  take  up
                                                            different income generation activities in agriculture
                                                            and allied sectors and make them realize their
                                                            invaluable contributions in Indian agriculture and
                                                            economy.

                                                            The  programme  was  organized  in  collaboration
                                                            with IFFCO with the theme “Relevance of Mahatma
                                                            Gandhi’s Ideas in Indian Agriculture”.

                                                            Smt. Gangotri Kujur, Honorable Member of
                                                            Legislative Assembly, Mander was the Chief Guest
                                                            of the occasion and other dignitaries like Smt.
                                                            Asha Lakra, Mayor RMC, Ranchi; Shri Ashok Singh,
                                                            Director Samiti,  Jharkhand, and  Shri R. K. Singh,
                                                            State Marketing Manager, IFFCO, Ranchi graced the
                                                            occasion as special guests. Swami Bhaveshananda,
                                                            Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi
                                                            presided over the programme.

                                                            Around 300 farm women participated in the
                                                            programme.  Identified  women  leaders  were
                                                            honoured during the programme.

           An exhibition was also organised by 5 SHGs in which  handmade sanitary pads, bamboo materials,
           handmade jewellery, handmade footwear, pickles, ragi laddoo etc. were displayed

           Workshop on Kharif Crops

           Kharif and Rabi workshops were organized in Divyayan KVK in joint collaboration with District Agriculture
           Office  and ATMA, Ranchi on 30th of July and 28th of November 2019 respectively. Shri Ashok Kumar
