It is a matter of great honour that the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine,
RIMS, Ranchi has been given the opportunity to host the 39 Annual Conference of

Indian Society of Medical Statistics (ISMS) from 9 to 11 December, 2021. The theme

of the conference is “Application of Biostatistical Techniques for summarizing Evidence:
Systemic Review and Meta-Analysis”.
I welcome all delegates of this conference which shall serve as an enriching platform
for clinicians and statisticians alike in honing their research skills through advanced
knowledge of the use of Evidence Based Medicine. I am confident that this academic
feast will surely highlight important topics of biostatistics and make the subject easy to
the delegates.
