MESSAGE

It is a matter of immense pride that the Dept of Community Medicine, Rajendra Institute of Medical
Sciences, Ranchi, Jharkhand is conducting the 39’ annual conference of Indian Society for Medical
Statistics from 9’ to 11’ December, 2021 at Rims, Ranchi. The theme of ISMSCON-2021 is “Application of
Biostatistical Techniques for Summarizing Evidence; Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis”

I believe that the conference shall prove to be a major step forward in our knowledge of Evidence Based
Medicine, its uses and applications. I am sure that it will be an enriching experience for all the delegates
attending it, including medical health professionals, statisticians, medical researchers and public health
specialists.

I specially thank Indian Society for Medical Statistics for giving us the opportunity to host this conference.
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the guest speakers and to thank them for their invaluable
contribution to this conference. I would also like to congratulate the organizers and my colleagues for
their untiring work in this regard.
