I take great pride in welcoming all the attendees of the 39 annual conference of Indian Society for

Medical Statistics from 9 to 11 December, 2021 at RIMS, Ranchi. The theme of ISMSCON- 2021
is “Application of Biostatistical Techniques for Summarizing Evidence; Systematic Review and Meta-
Analysis”. Application of Biostatistical Techniques & tools have become inevitable for any research
project. So a better understanding of the same will pave the way for improved research protocols & more
logical conclusion thereof.
I believe that this conference shall be a golden opportunity to meet and hear experts from both the
medical fraternity and public health domain. Delegates are encouraged to share their innovative ideas
on this platform.

I specially thank Indian Society for Medical Statistics for giving RIMS the opportunity to host this
conference. I extend a very warm welcome to the guest speakers and thank them for their invaluable
contribution to this conference. I congratulate the organizers and my colleagues for their untiring work in
this regard.
