MESSAGE
It is a matter of immense pride for the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, RIMS, Ranchi to
host the 39 Annual Conference of Indian Society of Medical Statistics (ISMS) from 9 to 11 December,

2021. The theme of the conference is “Application of Biostatistical Techniques for summarizing Evidence:
Systemic Review and Meta-Analysis”.
I would like to extend my heartiest welcome to all the delegates, attending the conference, both online
as well as offline. I wish them all great success with the conference and hope that newer perspectives
regarding application of Evidence Based Medicine in the field of medical research is gained by all who
participate in the conference.I am highly gratified and would like to thank the organizing committee for
their relentless work and untiring work in organizing this conference. I would like to congratulate the
